Hailey Baldwin pulls out the vote in style.
With less than 75 days to go before the presidential election, the 23-year-old model has teamed up with Levi’s and “Invisible Portraits” director Oge Egbuonu for a new campaign to bring in our country’s 70 million eligible young voters at the polls.
According to Levi’s, Baldwin approached the brand with the idea of a PSA. “I had the vision to put in place a beautiful and powerful call to action to educate and inform the next generation of voters,” she said in a statement.
“Oge is an incredible force and she really helped me bring my idea to life. This election is the most important of my life and I am now at an age where I truly understand the impact of my generation and I hope this call to action will encourage, educate and inspire this next generation to vote in November and understand why it matters.
In the accompanying black-and-white campaign images, Baldwin models a gray Levi’s x Vote Hoodie ($ 74.50) with a cut hem – part of the brand voting themed collection – with easy denim shorts and golden hoops. Jaden Smith and Miguel are also featured in the snaps, as are researcher and educator Dr Joy DeGruy, professor and civil leader Dr Melina Abdullah, poet Jazmine Williams and many more.
As part of the initiative, Levi Strauss & Co. and the Levi Strauss Foundation are making a collective donation of $ 2.6 million to various voting rights organizations including the ACLU, Black Futures Lab, Rock the Vote and Moreover.
