Ministry’s Al Jourgensen launches election campaign

The department has always had a strong social conscience and now they are using it to inspire Americans to go to the polls in November. Leader Al Jourgensen is launching a voting campaign, trying to get more people to register to vote ahead of the presidential election.

Ministry’s most recent album was AmeriKKKant record, with Jourgensen declaring: “When AmeriKKKant was in development, the album was a direct response to waking up in shock and panic the day after Trump’s official election. Now, four years later, these songs take on new meaning as we ditch Mango Moron. Vote in November like your life depends on it, because this time it really is! “

Jourgensen encourages those who are not currently registered to vote to visit a Voting site linked to the ministry which will guide you through a few simple steps to do so. Once that was done, Al asked you to take a screenshot of your confirmation page and email it to unclealforpresident2020@gmail.com with your mailing address.

For those who are already registered to vote, “Uncle Al” wants to get you involved as well. He asked you to join the national #SaveOurStages campaign urging Congress to provide funds to help independent concert halls survive the current closures linked to the pandemic. You are invited to visit the The Save Our Stages website, sign the online petition and / or donate to the cause. As with the voter registration task, Jourgensen asks you to take a screenshot of your confirmation page and email it to his unclealforpresident2020@gmail.com address with your mailing address. Those who complete one task or the other will then be eligible to receive autographed keepsakes from the head of the ministry. It asks you to send only one email per person.

In anticipation of the election, Jourgensen and Ministry have compiled a new Spotify playlist called “The Soundtrack of Your Election”. It features 30 powerful cuts with some of Jourgensen’s favorites as well as Ministry’s recently released new rally cry “Alert Level” as well as selections from the AmeriKKKant album. Listen to him here and pick up AmeriKKKant To this location.

Meanwhile, Jourgensen is currently back in the studio to work on a new record. Stay tuned to see what emerges from the most recent studio sessions.
