THIS WEEK IN IMPACT WRESTLING 9/12: Sneak peek, analysis, news and updates on all things Impact Wrestling

Impact Wrestler of the Week: Matt Cardona

It was a decisive week for Cardona. He appeared on last week’s TV show and claimed a victory (in a tag team match) against Impact world champion Moose. The advertisers did a good job in passing off Cardona’s victory as a big deal. Impact took advantage of Cardona’s momentum during her GCW appearances and added a touch of freshness to their main stage.

Impact match of the week: Jonah vs. Jai Vidal

It was basic squash, but it was effective in making Jonah a major force from the start. Jonah is positioned against Impact’s top star Josh Alexander, so this match helped establish Jonah as a credible opponent. Vidal has done well in his Impact appearance so far and hopefully will have the opportunity to show even more.

Impact Wrestling TV results (12/2/21):

  • Chris Sabin defeated Matthew Rehwoldt
  • Jonas defeats Jai Vidal
  • Rachael Ellering defeats Savannah Evans
  • Rich Swann and Willie Mack beat Deaner and Joe Doering
  • Matt Cardona and Eddie Edwards beat Moose and W. Morrissey
