Asia’s oldest Greek-letter fraternity based at the University of the Philippines, Upsilon Sigma Phi, in its ongoing effort to help create a politically mature and economically stable environment for all Filipinos, will be hosting an online event titled “Alam ng Isa, Alam ng Lahat: 2022 National and Local Elections” on July 23, Friday, 2-4 p.m. live via Microsoft Teams.
The webinar, aimed at encouraging not just young people but all eligible Filipino voters to participate in the upcoming state and local elections in 2022, features former Electoral Commission Commissioner Gregorio Larrazabal, the youngest to hold the post in of his appointment in 2009.
“The sanctity of the ballot and the involvement of young people is very important because it will be the foundation of their future,” Larrazabal said. The former head of Comelec will discuss the interest of exercising the civic duty to vote.
UP College of Law Dean Edgardo Carlo Lasam Vistan will moderate the webinar, while UP Student Regent Renee Louise Co and University Student Council Presidents of UP Los Baños and UP Mindanao, Siegfried Severino and Andryc Carbonilla, will serve as reactors respectively.
